Clinical Audit- Train the Trainer

Individuals in jobs that involve supporting clinical audit are often expected to teach clinical audit staff how to do a clinical audit and to give presentations about clinical audit. However, many of these individuals have had little formal training in being an effective teacher or presenter. This course has been designed in response to requests from clinical audit staff who want to learn how we provide effective teaching on clinical audit.

The course sets out a framework for designing any teaching session, provides a structured approach to planning what to teach and how, and gives advice on how to get learners involved in practical work.

The workshop facilitator will make brief presentations and lead the participants through the work needed to achieve the stated objectives. The work will be carried out by the participants working in small groups and as a whole. Each participant will be provided with a copy of a Clinical Audit Teaching Package and a workbook on how to teach clinical audit. Certificates of participation in the workshop are provided.
