This module is designed for registered practitioners employed by Circle Health Group. It is a standalone module with an award of a University Certificate in Postgraduate Professional Development (UCPPD). The aim of the module is to further advance knowledge, critical understanding and advanced skills to work safely and effectively within the recovery room in the operating department.
This module is four months in length and is delivered over three, three day blocks of study. The content of the taught days include; patient monitoring, human factors and patient safety, management of the deteriorating patient, haemodynamics, shock and haemorrhage.
The student will be working in the clinical practice area throughout the module and will be supervised by a registered practitioner who will support them in practice to achieve their practice-based competencies.

Entry Requirements:
Students are required to be a registered healthcare professional
Applicants should discuss access to this course with their manager and Practice Based Educator prior to booking.
A signed Learning Agreement will be required upon application.
