IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors

“Fulfil Your Responsibilities and Minimise Your Liabilities” Ever-changing health and safety legislation means that senior executives and directors must be fully aware of the responsibilities, pitfalls and implications of carrying out their duties.

This course educates, updates and illustrates in detail all relevant areas of health and safety and the law, the liabilities which exist and most importantly how to minimise them.

The content focuses on health & safety responsibilities and obligations and how they should be discharged to mitigate risk. It also covers personal legal obligations and the liabilities of both directors and their companies. The programme follows the IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors syllabus which includes:

  • Concepts of legislation
  • Health and safety management duties
  • Corporate manslaughter
  • The cost of getting it wrong
  • Directors’ duties, penalties and enforcements
  • Management duties
  • Control of contractors
  • Corporate governance

This course is suitable for senior managers e.g. Executive Directors
