When undertaking the course you will understand what asbestos is, the dangers associated with asbestos exposure, legislation and asbestos management plan. This knowledge will help you or your team to stay safe around asbestos.
By the end of this course you will be better able to:
- Understand what is asbestos, different types of asbestos, uses of asbestos, dangers posed from asbestos
- Understand the control of asbestos in the UK, including legislation and duties
- The Asbestos management plan
Please note the information in this course is an awareness level of training. It does not allow you to work with asbestos or conduct asbestos removal.
Entry Requirements:
This course is suitable for
- Health and Safety Coordinators
- Health and Safety Leads
- Engineers
For buildings with Asbestos Containing Materials:
As the course is not allocated to a particular job role apart from site engineers and H&S Leads/Coordinators, EDs or the Manager in charge of a building will need to send the names of staff members who are to complete the courses via email.
